I let the teacher-planner take full rein at the end of last week and over the weekend and she has put together a wonderful preschool curriculum for Chook, using some excellent resources found online. It has got me thinking…I believe that anything and everything you could possibly want to know could probably be found online! Some of it for free or at a very low cost. Wow! We really have come a-long way in a short amount of time.
It has also made me think about all those teaching resources I have stored in our shed and the value of holding onto them. I am thinking I start to sift through it all, get rid of stuff that is available at my fingertips and keep only the irreplaceable nuggets.
With three young children that I am homeschooling it is probably an excellent time to sort through it. Keep what we use, gift what we don’t.
This weeks links are an excellent example of what I mean by resources at the tips of your fingers. The teacher planner was planning for alphabet activities and searching for activities to expose Chook to the letter c. Thanks to these lovely ladies linking up to the Weekly Kids Co-Op I had 15 wonderful activities to explore the letter c with!
