A weekly snippet of our play, creating and learning over the week.

The kids and I love having a smoothie in the morning. This week I took a new approach in the ingredients I was using and experimented with the flavours. We are loving this Coconut Berry ‘Yogurt’ Smoothie (it doesn’t contain yogurt but it tastes like it does)!
A HUGE life event occured! Number One son received his Learners Permit. He is officially allowed behind the wheel of a car. Another step towards adulthood and independence. A wee tear from Mama to see her eldest spreading his wings (and a tinge of pride to witness the wonderful young man he is becoming).
This lovely parcel of crafty goodness arrived. I just love the colours of the wool roving and the hand dyed rainbow felt will be gorgeous as fairy wings and butterflies.
Chook wanted to do experimenting this week and there is no better place to start than baking soda (bicarb) and vinegar. One of the activities we did was watching a balloon fill with gas after adding vinegar to the bicarb in a bottle.
Ooffa playing at being Daddy and going to work 🙂
Chook is continuing to be a budding photographer and loves taking photos of our everyday life. Here he is experimenting with photo effects and has captured Ooffa’s personality perfectly.

While big brother Aidan takes big steps towards adulthood with his driving permit, number two son learns to ride a bike! Another big life event!
Another photo by Chook. This is our ‘Rescue Bear’. I found this huge bear at the local Red Cross Opportunity Shop. I knew Ooffa would adore this massive teddy and a bit of rough and tumble with a soft teddy bear is far more preferential than a sibling! So, I purchased the bear and took him home. He has been loved from the moment he arrived in our home (so much so I dread an arm or an ear getting pulled off)! I must get a photo of this bear ‘using’ the toilet…I’ll leave that story for next week, hahaha!
