I am really happy with how Chook’s 4th birthday monster theme cake turned out! And I got to use the cake pop tin that I bought at the start of the year for Strawberry and Ooffa’s Bubble Birthday Party. I found fondant at the new party shop that has opened up in town and the gorgeous colour is created by food dye gel, also bought from this shop. I bought a big roll of fondant but I only used a quarter of it! I am looking for ideas to do with it, so it doesn’t go to waste.
To create the Happy Birthday letters, arms, feet and teeth I used fondant and alphabet cutters. The big smile is simply piped chocolate.
And…this is about the point where the kids launch an attack on the cake decorations!
See those sneaky fingers going in to pull off the pieces!
Despite being picked apart by the kids Chook’s cake still looked really cute and happy!
That’s one satisfied customer, right there!
How awesome is Ooffa’s shirt!
I had so much fun putting this Monster party together and the delight on all the kids faces made the effort worth it! Making the monster theme cake took only a little bit of time and effort. Actually it was faster and easier than last years Monster Cupcakes! I hope we have inspired you with our cute monster theme party activities for your next party!
