Montessori Home Spaces: Our Preschool Environment

{Triple T Mum} Montessori Home Spaces: Our Preschool Environment Our child-led environment is always evolving. Changing according to the seasons, interests and ages of the children. Always changing. We live in a very small home, into which we squeeze six people! Over time I have had to be a little creative with preparing the environment for our Montessori inspired activities. Keeping the children in mind, I put a lot of thought into providing an environment that fosters independence, integrates nature and provides opportunities for learning through exploration of their bodies, mind and senses. It is an environment that our family live and breathe in, so you could say we live and breathe Montessori around here!

Welcome To Our Montessori Home Space!

To assist a child we must provide him with an environment which will enable him to develop freely.

Activity Choices. This chart displays all the current activities available to the children to choose from and is displayed above our Montessori cupboard. In our small home it was difficult having the materials easily accessible, especially with twin toddlers! This chart allows the children to still be able to make choices about what activity they would like to do and helps me maintain my sanity. This is how I adapt our environment to allow freedom for my children. {Triple T Mum} Montessori Home Spaces: Our Preschool Environment. Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment.
