Sunday is Nature Adventurers
Thank you so much for your emails expressing interest in our afternoon nature adventure time. I would LOVE to share more on this time with you!
We began this week with the reading of the first few chapters of The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton. On this day it was raining quite steadily so we looked out across the ocean towards the islands and listened to the story from the warmth of the car.
The next day we took a drive to the local arboretum, where the children explored the woods looking for the Faraway Tree, elves and gnomes.
Could this be the Faraway Tree?
Could this be a home for a wood gnome?
We collected a few pine cones for a craft activity and Chook found a bird’s nest that had fallen from a tree. Wonderful finds for our Winter Nature Table!
What will our next adventure be?!?
